Susana and Timmy Abell of Silver Trout Arts present an exciting, engaging, and interactive blend of music, puppetry, poetry, and storytelling. Their concerts feature seven musical instruments, a fascinating puppet fable, a Spanish-speaking pet sloth, highly original songs, a sit-down square dance, and audience participation on almost every number. The whole performance is filled with laughter, fun, insight, and inspiration. From tiny one-room school houses to 1,200-seat theaters packed with kids and families, the Abells have spent more than a decade presenting their unique programs throughout the southeast and beyond. Timmy’s touring career spans 35 years in 22 states, including concerts at Merlefest in North Carolina, The Kennedy Center, The National Theater, The Savannah Music Festival, The Peace Center, and more. He is a recipient of the prestigious NC Arts Council Fellowship for Songwriting and has six family albums with multiple Parents’ Choice Gold Awards and other national awards. Susana is a singer and former circus performer whose puppetry has been enjoyed by audiences on three continents. Together, the two artists have touched the lives of countless young people through their original roots-flavored songs, enchanting puppetry, and genuine performance style.
